Acceptance of terms
By installing or using FreshDeck ("the Add-on"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Add-on.
These Terms apply to all users of FreshDeck, including users who access the Add-on through the Google Workspace Marketplace.
Description of service
FreshDeck is a Google Workspace Add-on that connects Google BigQuery to Google Slides. It allows users to define SQL queries mapped to text placeholders in their presentations, and generates copies of those presentations populated with live query results.
The Add-on runs entirely within Google's infrastructure using Google Apps Script and does not require any external servers or accounts beyond your Google account.
Eligibility
You must have a valid Google account with access to Google Slides and, where applicable, Google BigQuery, to use FreshDeck. By using the Add-on, you represent that you are authorized to access any BigQuery projects and Google Drive files you interact with through FreshDeck.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use FreshDeck to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Access BigQuery data or Google Drive files you are not authorized to access.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Add-on.
- Use the Add-on in any way that could damage, disable, or impair Google's services.
- Circumvent any security or access controls in Google's systems.
Your data and Google permissions
FreshDeck requests certain Google OAuth scopes to function, including access to Google Slides, Google Drive, and BigQuery. By granting these permissions, you authorize FreshDeck to perform the actions described in our Privacy Policy.
You retain full ownership of all your data — your presentations, your BigQuery data, and your query configurations. FreshDeck does not claim any rights to your content.
No warranty
FreshDeck is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Add-on will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of data retrieved from BigQuery and inserted into your presentations. You are responsible for verifying the output of any generated presentation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FreshDeck and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Add-on, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Add-on shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Add-on in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free add-on, is zero).
Modifications to the add-on
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue FreshDeck at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of FreshDeck after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
